Thinking Outside The Pillbox: Meeting the Medication Needs of Older Adults

Join us at our May meeting to learn valuable information from pharmacist Nancy Hart. We’ll leave with a better understanding of how to meet the medication needs of older adults whether they be clients or our own family as well as: 

• Identify factors for medication nonadherence in older adults

• Propose solutions to help clients organize their medications

• Outline local resources to assist clients with their medication use

About our Speaker:

Nancy Hart, PharmD, FCCP, BCPS is an Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Pharmacy within the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in Gainesville, FL and has been a pharmacist for 16 years. She is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist, and practices within a primary care clinic in Nashville, TN. Dr. Hart has worked in clinical research, community pharmacy, and academia.
