The Effects of Anxiety: What It Is and How to Manage It
With currently around 18% of Americans facing an anxiety disorder, and around 40% of Americans expressing anxiety around obtaining the Corona virus, now more than ever, it is important to talk about ways to implement strategies to manage anxiety and maintain our mental health.
In this presentation, attendees will come away with a better understanding of:
How anxiety presents and manifests
Effects of anxiety and how it looks across the lifespan (children to adolescents, adults to the elderly)
How anxiety may impact an individual's ability to organize whether it be space, time, information, etc.
How professional organizers can help support clients with anxiety
Additional resources for those suffering from anxiety
ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Hannah Feliciano, MMFC/T
Hannah Feliciano is a Marriage and Family counselor at Insight Counseling Centers. She has a passion for working with children, youth, individuals, families, and couples. She earned a Masters of Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and has been working in the counseling field for the past three years. She uses a person-centered approach where each client is treated with dignity and respect. She sees clients with presenting issues such as trauma, abuse, life transitions, anxiety and depression. Hannah knows that we are all on a journey of wholeness and is passionate about helping her clients achieve their goals.
Hannah loves the outdoors and on weekends enjoys hiking through Tennessee’s many beautiful state parks with her husband. She also enjoys being creative by painting, singing and baking in her free time.
