Professional Organizer On-The-Job Training Opportunity!
Join Liz Jenkins, CPO, and owner of A Fresh Space for a chance to help out a charitable organization AND gain knowledge & skills related to being a Professional Organizer. Training opportunities are hard to come by so this event is designed to offer skills training to those who want it.
Boiler Room Theatre at the Factory in Franklin has a props room that needs organizing. You need some on-site training. I can help with both!
Here’s what you’ll learn:
· Needs assessment
· Questions and issues when determining how to organize a space
· Determining the goals of a client
· Space evaluation, determining number & types of materials as well as evaluating time needed to
complete a project
· Hands on sorting, purging and containerizing – essential organizing skills
· Working with a team on an organizing project
· Direct instruction from an experienced organizer on the why’s and how’s when getting an organizing project going and getting it finished
You’ll work side by side with me and a crew of people all with the same goal: organize a space and make it functional and workable. The theatre has a space that is full of props and costumes used in their productions, and many people who access it regularly. This is an opportunity to learn, help and gain experience. A fee of $75 is required and monies will be used to purchase materials to be used on the project.

When: Friday, April 13th, 2012 from 9-2 for evaluation/needs assessment, planning, sorting & purging and Saturday, April 14th, 2012 from 9-2 for on site organizing and evaluation *pack a lunch
