February 2017 Program – Working with Vulnerable Seniors

The program for our February 9, 2017 will be a morning meeting. Our speaker will be Pat Wissel of Preferred Care at Home.

Program Description:

What does it take to make the home of a senior citizen physically safe for them to move around without obstruction and with things organized to optimize ease of daily living? What signs may we see of a senior becoming a victim of a scam and what are some common scams that are perpetrated on seniors?

As professional organizers, what needs may we be able to offer which are not specifically requested by the client? How can we help a person age in place?

Pat Wissel will address these questions, as well as your own, on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at our Nashville NAPO Chapter meeting at 9:00 am.

About the Presenter:

Pat Wissel

Pat Wissel is one of the owners of Preferred Care at Home.? She and her business partner, Dennis Clifford, started their non-medical in-home care company in 2011, largely due to experiences with their own parents.? She is an advocate for Seniors and their families and is grateful to serve this country’s “greatest generation”.? Pat is also on the Board of the Seniors Services Network and is a Certified Senior Advisor.

November 2016 Program – Business Development Roundtable

The program for our November 10, 2016 will be a morning meeting. The meeting will include a roundtable discussion about business practices, covering business documents, insurance coverage, best practices, and client management.

Program Description:

 

There will be 3 parts to the Roundtable:

  1. Business Forms
  2. Financial considerations and insurance
  3. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

You are encouraged to bring your own forms to the meeting for the purpose of comparison with other organizers, as well as the limits of your insurance policy. We will use NAPOsure coverage for comparison purposes.

It has been a while since we have had a roundtable discussion. There will be a key presenter for each section followed by discussion around this topic. This is an opportunity for you to compare your business practices with those of other organizers, to ask questions of each other, and to contribute to our collective knowledge.

If you would like for your forms to be included in a collective presentation, please send them to susan@clearingthewayhome.com by Monday, November 7. Be sure that there is no listing of rate in what you submit.
