President’s Message

President's MessageHello Fellow Organizers!

What an exciting year this has been for the NAPO Nashville Chapter.  We have an amazing Board that helps steer the chapter in directions that keep us focused on “Finding Our Voice”, this year’s theme for the Chapter.   What that means is we have two major goals in finding our voice, educate and market to the community what a Professional Organizer does and to encourage leadership among our chapter members, a vital component in growing our membership.

We are focused on two major events that we hope will help to achieve those goals, Soles 4 Soles, a World charity that provides shoes for people around the world and the Pumpkin Fest in Franklin.   The Nashville Chapter is collecting shoes from family, friends, clients, businesses and churches to keep us in the running for the National contest that will end January 31st and since Soles 4 soles is a local charity we hope to have a good showing from Nashville.   The Pumpkin Fest, a fun outdoor event for families to enjoy the fall festivities and community will be a great marketing opportunity for the Chapter as well as for individual organizers that choose to volunteer.

And of course I’m sure you all have heard about the Container Store coming to town.  We look forward to having them here as a well-known retailer for organizing products and to support our Professional Organizing Community.  The Grand Opening is November 5th, 2011 and I know our members are excited to be part of the exclusive preview that is offered to the members of the NAPO Nashville Chapter, one of the many benefits of being a member of this amazing group of Professional Organizers.

Leading the Chapter in new directions and challenging members to “Find their Voice” has been such a great opportunity.  It has been fun and challenging but most of all it simply is really great to be surrounded by peers that support and encourage each other as we really do have an amazing group of Professional Organizers with a variety of skill sets to serve our community.   I feel fortunate to be able to help guide the chapter and members to achieve their expectations of this chapter.  I greatly appreciate the opportunity to be President of the NAPO Nashville Chapter and the experiences it is providing on both a professional and personal level.

Best Wishes to all and Happy Organizing!
