President’s Message

President's Message

Hello Fellow Organizers and Guest to the NAPO Nashville Chapter,

Have you all made those New Year’s Resolutions? We all start out with good intentions to get organized for ourselves, our clients and family and hopefully with some discipline and a good plan, we can act on behaviors that bring about real change in achieving our goals.  I know for me personally I have chosen to step back,  be more proactive and less reactive by realigning my priorities, delegating more, and taking time to be with family and friends.

I love everything about being organized and what it allows me to achieve in life both personally and professionally but in order to grow, I have to let go of some things and add where needed based on what is working for me and what is not.  The same things we ask of our clients to describe for us, we need to ask of ourselves and honestly assess what that little voice in our head is telling us.  I know that having a calm presence with family and clients helps us all to be better business owners, parents, spouses and leaders in our community and with less on the plate, less stress and more energy to give to yourself and others.

How to do that?  Plan, plan, plan!  Taking time to think through your life and business needs daily, weekly, monthly and yearly is never ending and so important as we try to keep up in this fast paced world we live in.  It never really stops but it’s invigorating to look back and see what you accomplished from last year and if you look back at to do lists, sees how many things you really did accomplish small or large and give yourself a pat on the back.

Always know that you are enough, you do enough and you have enough!    See you all in 2012 more organized, stress free and smiling because you took a moment to do something for yourself.
